Armed conflict in eastern Ukraine erupted in early 2014 following russia’s annexation of Crimea. On the day 24th of February, 2022 russia started an aggressive and unprovoked war in Ukraine. It was the beginning of a full-scale land, sea, and air invasion of Ukraine, targeting Ukrainian military assets and cities across the country.
Hevelian has been operating in Ukraine since 2012. We operate in Ukraine for a number of reasons, including a great education system, a beautiful location, and a burgeoning health IT market, but mostly because of its great people. Ukrainians are fiercely democratic and love the freedoms that their democracy has provided since 1991. They are fiercely loyal, intelligent, kind, and fair, and enjoy their democratic right to be themselves.
However, their humanitarian rights and love for freedom are being challenged by a dictator who wants to suppress everything that makes them Ukrainian. While Ukraine wants to move forward, putin wants to drag the country back to 1980, destroy freedom and the government, and occupy lands.
Hevelian is determined to help Ukraine survive this attack in every possible way.
Donations made will go directly to support relief efforts in Ukraine of all kinds. Help us to support Ukraine in becoming stronger against the violations of basic rules of international law. Let's help our friends, colleagues, and loved ones in need.
Hevelian has set up several ways to collect donations. All the funds are automatically transferred to a single account in a European bank. We purchase supplies from all over Europe and ship them through a "green corridor" from Poland to Ukraine, where they are collected and distributed to teams fighting to defend Ukraine against the aggressors.
This is not a registered charity, but the funds will be immediately put to use by Ukrainians for Ukrainians.
